This notice has been prepared by Prof. Dr. Esin Yalçınkaya Medical Practice, acting as data controller under Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"). It is provided to inform you about the purposes and legal grounds for processing your personal data, and about your rights.

2. Personal Data Processed
2.1 Patient and Contact Data
- Identity information (first name, last name)
- Contact information (phone number, email address)
- Health data (diagnosis, treatment process, examination notes, imaging results)
- Messages sent through the website's contact channels (WhatsApp, phone)
2.2 Website Visit Data
- Anonymised IP address
- Browser type, device information, and operating system
- Pages visited, session duration, and browsing behaviour
- Traffic source (search engine, social media, direct access)
- Approximate geographic location (city/country level)
3. Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
Patient Data
- Carrying out appointment and patient registration procedures (KVKK Art. 5/2-ç: performance of a contract)
- Managing medical diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up processes (KVKK Art. 6/3: mandatory processing of health data)
- Fulfilling legal obligations (KVKK Art. 5/2-a: explicitly provided for by law)
- Responding to patient questions and maintaining communication (KVKK Art. 5/2-f: legitimate interest)
Website Visit Data
- Measuring site performance and usability (KVKK Art. 5/2-f: legitimate interest)
- Improving content by understanding visitor behaviour (KVKK Art. 5/2-f: legitimate interest)
4. Web Analytics Data (Google Analytics)
This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to analyse visitor behaviour. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland).
Data processed under Google Analytics is anonymised, and no visitor is directly matched to identity information. IP addresses are anonymised by GA4 by default.
Data retention period: Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
You can use the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on to disable Google Analytics tracking, or adjust your browser's cookie settings.
5. Transfer of Personal Data
Your personal data is not transferred to third parties domestically or abroad except in the following cases:
- Google (analytics): Anonymised website usage data is shared with Google within the scope described above. Google's data processing standards fall within GDPR compliance.
- Legal obligation: Upon written request from authorized public institutions or a court order.
- Ministry of Health and related legislation: Cases mandated by healthcare regulations.
6. Method of Collecting Personal Data
Your personal data is collected through the following channels:
- In-person examinations and clinical consultations
- Phone calls and WhatsApp communication
- Website visits (automatically, via Google Analytics)
7. Data Subject Rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights:
- To learn whether your personal data is being processed
- To request information about processed data
- To learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- To know the third parties to whom your data is transferred domestically or abroad
- To request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- To request deletion or destruction of data within the scope of the law
- To request that correction and deletion actions be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred
- To object to a result arising against you from the exclusive analysis of processed data through automated systems
- To request compensation for damages arising from unlawful processing
You may submit a written request to info@esinyalcinkaya.com to exercise these rights. Requests are answered within a maximum of 30 days.
You retain the right to file a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (kvkk.gov.tr).
